Children’s Caprices (2013)

It was a great honour for me to get acquainted with the new musical work of Mirosław Franczak entitled ”Children’s Caprices” op. 19.

Literature for children has always been a magical means of stimulating children’s interests, sensitizing them to external stimuli, developing imagination and fantasy, stirring up their own childhood search. At the same time, it gives an opportunity to commune with the Beauty, which is attributed to every field of art.

This is a difficult field of creation, and the works of Polish composers of the 20th century are of particular importance and merit – an environment which established the Do-Re-Mi Festival of Creativity for Children, which for several years took place in Łódź and resulted in valuable literature for the youngest performers.

Mirosław Franczak, a guitarist, pedagogue, organizer, winner of numerous prizes in competitions, reveals to us his further talents – his own work.

“Children’s Caprices” is a beautiful and valuable work that fills a huge gap in children’s music literature.
